Introduction to the classification of concrete admixtures in Chengdu:
Admixtures can be divided into active admixtures and inactive admixtures. The active mineral admixture itself does not harden or the hardening speed is very slow, but it can coagulate and harden to produce strength after mixing with calcareous materials such as lime and hydrated lime, or react with calcium hydroxide generated by cement hydration to produce hydration products with gelling ability, such as fly ash, granulated blast furnace slag powder, zeolite powder, silica fume, etc.
Inactive mineral admixtures refer to mineral admixtures added into cement, which mainly play the role of filling without damaging the performance of cement. Inactive admixtures basically do not react with cement components, such as limestone, ground quartz sand and other materials.
The commonly used concrete admixtures include fly ash, granulated blast furnace slag and pozzolan. In particular, fly ash, ultra-fine electric furnace slag and silica fume have good application effects.
The above classification of concrete admixtures in Chengdu is introduced here. I hope it will be helpful to you.
