Project background: Baihetan Hydropower Station is located in Ningnan County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province and Qiaojia county, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. It is the second cascade hydropower station for cascade development of the main reach of the lower reaches of Jinsha River. It has comprehensive benefits such as power generation, flood control, sediment blocking, improving downstream shipping conditions and developing navigation in the reservoir area. The normal pool level of the reservoir is 825m, the corresponding storage capacity is 20.6 billion m3, the underground powerhouse is equipped with 16 units, the initially proposed installed capacity is 16 million KW, and the multi-year average power generation is 60.24 billion kwh.
As the second largest hydropower station in China after the Three Gorges hydropower station, Baihetan Hydropower Station is also a key project dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. With a single unit capacity of one million kilowatts, it ranks first in the world and the total installed capacity ranks second in the world. Solution: the geological conditions of Baihetan Hydropower Station are complex, and there are serious phenomena of slope, rockburst, collapse, argillization and weathering in some areas. In order to timely close the exposed surface, inorganic nano materials need to be used to improve the early strength of concrete and improve the sprayability of concrete.
